Managing Directors

Senior Managing Director, Leasing

Mr. Mueller serves as Chief Compliance Officer (“CCO”) and Senior Managing Director of Leasing for Sterling Organization and its related companies. As CCO, Mr. Mueller oversees all aspects of Sterling’s compliance program as a Registered Investment Advisor with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). As Senior Managing Director of Leasing, Mr. Mueller oversees the firm’s leasing activity and the lease administration process. Mr. Mueller also serves on the Investment Committees for the all of the firm’s investment vehicles.

In previous roles at Sterling Organization, Mr. Mueller has overseen the operations and property management activities for Sterling’s portfolio of properties and has been integrally involved in acquisition, disposition and financing activities. Prior to joining Sterling, Mr. Mueller worked in the Real Estate Services division of the Minneapolis office of accounting firm Virchow Krause & Company. Mr. Mueller received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Minnesota.

Senior Managing Director, Investments & Portfolio Management

Mr. Senenman serves as Senior Managing Director for Investments and Portfolio Management for Sterling Organization. He oversees the firm’s line of business that concentrates on investing in stabilized, grocery-anchored shopping centers located in major markets across the country.  Mr. Senenman also assists in the sourcing of acquisition opportunities for Sterling Organization’s institutional fund platform, which invests in retail-focused value-add real estate.  Mr. Senenman is based at Sterling Organization’s office in New York City.

Mr. Senenman has almost 30 years of experience in all facets of retail property acquisitions, property valuations, asset management and development.  Prior to joining Sterling Organization,  Mr. Senenman oversaw investments and acquisitions for Edens, Federal Realty Investment Trust and Kimco Realty Corporation, the latter of which he led the acquisitions team for 20 years and was instrumental in growing the firm’s portfolio from 16 million square feet to over 100 million square feet.  Mr. Senenman earned both a MBA in Finance and a BBA in Accounting from Hofstra University in New York.

Managing Director, Human Resources

Brian Fraser serves as Managing Director, Human Resources for Sterling Organization. In his role, Mr. Fraser is responsible for recruitment, talent development, and continuous improvement of processes to serve the firm’s growing team.

Mr. Fraser is a human resource professional with over 25 years of experience. His expertise includes developing corporate support functions from ground zero, delivering recruitment and executive-level training programs, transforming culture and infrastructure after mergers, initial public offerings, and performing organizational diagnostics. Mr. Fraser’s career has spanned multiple industries including real estate, retail, hospitality, technology services and marine facility management. Mr. Fraser’s most recent positions were with Rybovich and Regency Centers (NYSE: REG).

Managing Director, Investments

Mr. McCarthy serves as the Managing Director of Investments for Sterling Organization and its related companies. He has well over a decade of real estate and corporate finance experience. Mr. McCarthy is responsible for financial forecasting for new properties and acquisition targets, and as such is integrally involved in all aspects of the company’s acquisitions including due diligence and sits on the Investment Committees for the company's investment vehicles.

Prior to joining Sterling, Mr. McCarthy worked for The Rendina Companies and Wachovia Securities Investment Banking Group in Charlotte and San Francisco. Mr. McCarthy holds a BSE in Biomedical & Electrical Engineering from Duke University.

Managing Director, Transaction Management

Ms. Wei serves as Managing Director, Transaction Management for Sterling Organization.  Ms. Wei oversees and leads the team handling the due diligence process for all of the firm’s investments.  In addition to acquisition due diligence, Ms. Wei is responsible for executing asset dispositions for Sterling and its related entities.

Ms. Wei has over 25 years of experience in acquisitions, dispositions and property financing in the commercial real estate industry, including retail, mixed-use, multi-family, office and industrial.  Prior to joining Sterling Organization, Ms. Wei was the Senior Director of Investments for Federal Realty Investment Trust where she oversaw the transaction group.  Ms. Wei also held the position of Vice President of Investment Services, Pacific Region for Regency Centers, leading a team that underwrote, on average, $2 billion investments annually.  Ms. Wei earned an MBA from The University of California-Los Angeles Anderson School of Management and holds a BS in Accounting from California State University.
